Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has been missing from the public engagements in recent days.
While confirming the where-abouts of the county boss, the Trans Nzoia Chief Executive Member in charge of Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development Pius Gumo, revealed that Natembeya is nursing injuries after being involved in an accident on Christmas Day. Gumo represented Natembeya at the memorial service of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo in Kitale.
The CECM said that Governor Natembeya broke one of his legs.
“I have brought the condolence message of Governor George Natembeya. He got involved in an accident during Christmas, and he broke his leg; that is why he could not be here. He would have loved to be here to console the family. On his behalf, I would like to console you and remind you of his message to the family, and recognize Jirongo as a leader who championed the interests of the lowly citizens, and that we all should emulate him,” Gumo stated.
