Governor Sakaja Set To Unveil His Cabinet

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja will on Wednesday reveal his long-awaited list of County Executive Committee (CEC) members.

Sakaja made the announcement during an interview with Radio Citizen’s Vincent Ateya on Wednesday morning, noting that the Nairobi County Assembly is ready to vet the nominees.

“Today I will be announcing my CEC members, I have already set up the county assembly and its leadership,” said Sakaja.

The nominees will then be reviewed by the Appointment Committee of the County Assembly.

Sakaja previously stated that his deputy Njoroge Muchiri, like other members of County Executive Committees (CECs), will be in charge of a docket.

Muchiri will oversee the Trade docket, which deals with licenses and other issues.

“Deputy governors don’t have a defined role as per the constitution but my deputy will be a very busy man. He is an amazing man and a real face of the corporate world,” Sakaja said then.
