Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr Alfred Mutua announced the launch of a platform on Friday to enable Kenyan citizens to explore job opportunities around the world.
According to the CS, the platform dubbed ‘Kazi Majuu’ will provide Kenyans with direct access to international job listings, eliminating the need for intermediaries and connecting job seekers with employment opportunities worldwide.
“Kenyans can go online and look for job opportunities all over the world. We will be posting a lot of opportunities from different countries. You go in there and you will find a section where you will put in your details to agents who are recruiting people from different parts of the world or even from this country,” said Mutua.
He was speaking at the KICC in Nairobi during the launch of Digital Government services. President William Ruto presided over the event.
Mutua assured job seekers that by uploading their information to the system, they will be connected directly to the employer.
To explore international opportunities, job seekers have traditionally relied on recruitment agencies, middlemen, unscrupulous agents, and word-of-mouth connections.
However, this frequently comes with drawbacks such as limited access, high costs, and a lack of transparency.
Mutua says that with Kazi Majuu, Kenyans will be able to track individuals who are successful in finding work outside the country.
