Harold Ndege Appointed New FKF CEO, Succeeds Patrick Korir

Former Kenyan international and ex-Tusker FC defender Harold Ndege has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

Ndege takes over from Patrick Korir, who resigned earlier this month after just four months in the role. Korir had been serving in an interim capacity since October 2024, following the resignation of Barry Otieno, who stepped down to run for the FKF presidency in the December 2024 elections.

Ndege, who is also the Secretary General of the Kenya Soccer Players Association (KSPA) and currently works as a Customs Officer at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), was officially ratified by the FKF National Executive Committee on Friday.

His appointment came after his name was presented by the federation’s president, Hussein Mohammed.

At 45, Ndege emerged as the top candidate for the influential position, reportedly beating competitors Bob Collins Otieno, Sarah Migwi, and Dennis Gicheru.

As FKF General Secretary, Ndege will serve as the federation’s chief administrator, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth communication with members, committees, FIFA, and CAF. His role will also include preparing FKF’s annual budget and financial reports, as well as managing staff appointments and dismissals within the FKF Secretariat.

Ndege’s extensive experience as a former footballer and his leadership within the KSPA are expected to bring a fresh perspective to FKF’s management.

His appointment is seen as a strategic move to restore stability and drive the federation’s growth agenda, particularly after the recent leadership transitions.
