Cabinet Secretary nominee for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Ali Joho, disclosed a personal net worth of Sh2.36 billion!
He attributed the massive wealth majorly to real estate investments, especially in the development of both undeveloped and developed properties.
He gave the details of his portfolio, including personal residences located in Mombasa, Vipingo, Malindi, and Nairobi.
Other than property holdings, he mentioned shareholding in a few family businesses and other valuables, together with cash in the bank. He said that it was his personal wealth and not the general wealth of the family.
The former Mombasa County governor boasted about his investments, saying he had dealt with property development very well, that business has contributed immensely to his economic status.
The seasoned politician has a substantial background in public service, having served as the Kisauni Member of Parliament for five years before holding the office of Governor for Mombasa County for a remarkable ten years.
Beyond his political career, Joho has made significant contributions to the local economy as the founder and director of Prima Pest and Bins Ltd, the first garbage collection company in Mombasa.
He also founded M-tech Kenya and East Africa Terminals.
