A 16-year-old adolescent has been admitted at a Kitui hospital after a failed abortion attempt orchestrated by her headteacher.
After being brought to Mumoni health centre in Kitui county, the class eight student, who is lucky to be alive, delivered a 5-month dead male foetus.
The girl disclosed that her headteacher, who was responsible for the pregnancy, had accompanied her to a private clinic in Ishiara on Saturday, February 19, where she was given some drugs to consume.
The victim’s mother stated that her daughter had complained of terrible stomach pains, causing her to bring the youngster to the hospital.
Detectives have already begun a manhunt for the missing head teacher as well as the owner of the private clinic that performed the botched abortion.
