Health Ministry Takes County Engagements to Nyandarua to Strengthen Service Delivery

By Michelle Ndaga

The Ministry of Health has continued its county-to-county strategic engagements with a focus on strengthening healthcare delivery, holding its latest forum in Nyandarua County today.

The engagement, led by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, seeks to incorporate community-based strategies and leverage the Digital Health Superhighway to drive transparency, accountability, and seamless service delivery.

As part of the programme, the Ministry is sensitising stakeholders and the public on the benefits and packages under the Social Health Authority (SHA). In addition, end-user digital devices are being handed over to healthcare providers to boost efficiency and improve services at the grassroots.

CS Duale underscored that these reform-driven initiatives are central to the government’s transformative agenda, positioning health as a key driver of presidential flagship programmes.

He further noted that the initiatives lay a strong foundation for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The CS was hosted by Nyandarua Governor Dr. Moses Kiarie Badilisha and accompanied by senior officials, including SHA CEO Dr. Mercy Mwangangi and Digital Health Agency CEO Eng. Anthony Lenayara.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening health systems through digital innovations and inclusive partnerships that ensure Kenyans receive quality, affordable healthcare across all counties
