Roma’s attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will undergo a medical at Inter ahead of a free transfer.
The former Armenia international had been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri since the end of the previous season, and despite the Giallorossi’s last-ditch efforts to keep the 33-year-old, it appears he will join Inter.
And Fabrizio Romano claims a medical for a move to the San Siro is scheduled for this week.
Mkhitaryan joined Roma on loan from Arsenal in the summer of 2019, but the move was made permanent a year later.
In all, he made 117 appearances for the Giallorossi, scoring 29 goals and, should the move go ahead, his final match will have been the victorious Europa Conference League Final against Feyenoord in Tirana.
Mkhitaryan has won league titles in his native Armenia as well as in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donestsk, while he also won domestic cups with Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
While at Old Trafford, he also won the Europa League, scoring in the Final win over Ajax.
