A Magistrates court today suspended the trial process of Savannah Cement company Chairman Benson Ndeta pending determination of a case challenging his prosecution at the High Court.
Savanna Cement Limited Chairperson Benson Sande Ndeta was lastweek charged with Ksh 700 million bank fraud.
He was to be detained in Custody until today December 2, 2024 when the Court was expected to issue directions on his bail and bond release application.
However, today Ndeta through advocate Cecil Miller told the court that they obtained orders on Friday stopping his prosecution.
The magistrate’s court was appraised of the new developments and subsequently directed the matter be mentioned on January 30 awaiting the High Court’s determination.
