Governor Wanga Wants Kidero Petition Trashed

Wanga stated that petitioner Evans Kidero's accusations of voter bribery, violence, and intimidation are false and cannot be verified.

Gladys Wanga, the governor of Homa Bay, has asked a High Court hearing a lawsuit against her election to uphold her victory since she won legitimately.

Wanga stated that petitioner Evans Kidero’s accusations of voter bribery, violence, and intimidation are false and cannot be verified.

She took to the dock to defend herself against Kidero’s charges that she did not win the Homa Bay governor election fairly on August 9.

Wanga stated that petitioner Evans Kidero’s accusations of voter bribery, violence, and intimidation are false and cannot be verified.

Wanga won the election with 244,559 votes, according to county Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officer Fredrick Apopa, while Kidero emerged second with 154,182 votes.

“My appeal to this honourable court is that the election be upheld since the people of Homa Bay spoke decisively at the polls.” “We carried the people’s dreams, and that’s why they voted for us,” stated the county leader.

Wanga testified before presiding judge Justice Roselyn Aburili that some of the claims leveled against her election were motivated by gender discrimination.
