Homeless Former Journalist Appeals For Kenyans’ Help

Kimani Mbugua, a former Citizen TV journalist, has asked Kenyans to assist him in getting his life back on track after he was released from the hospital.

Mbugua said in a viral video on social media on Sunday that he became unwell in 2020 and was diagnosed with bipolar mood illness.

“I got out of the hospital last week and I feel like my mind has returned to normal, and I don’t want to go back to where I was,” he explained.

Mbugua stated that he is currently homeless since the individuals who had previously sheltered him had told him to look for another place to reside.

He stated that he is currently seeking a real business partner who can bring in money to assist his idea take off.

He stated that he did not want to suffer in silence and hence sought assistance from Kenyans.

“I realised I could suffer in silence, not speak up, and become depressed again, turning to drugs.” “I don’t want to go back to using drugs,” he explained.

Mbugua stated that he has not taken drugs in two months and does not want to do so again. He admitted to abusing marijuana and cigarettes in the past.

He stated that he had even borrowed the phone from which he took the video asking assistance and posted it on social media.
