Ring tone revealed that he went through poverty at a young age. he had a strong desire to be wealthy and be living the life which nearly so him marry an old mzungu lady.
In an interview he spoke about how he struggled to make ends meet the singer said he really dreamt of having a good life and would anything to make ends meet
“I first went to Mombasa when I was 14 to find a good life he was told there old wazungu looking for young men to marry. He got there and started doing his rounds. and it did not long before he meets someone who changed his mind set and asked him to give his life to Christ. even though he was not convinced Jesus would save him he took up the challenge.
He started off by cleaning church pews in Makupa and he then went to high school where he started music.
There was a time Zari was coming to Kenya and he was in to her and wanted her to be his wife and at the time Zari dreamt of owning a Range Rover so he went on and bought it for her. and actually did it on social media. but Zari was not really interested and asked him to give the car to someone whose more deserving of the car.
He’s also known for the publicity stunt of having a placard looking for a wife in the highway somewhere in Nairobi and also that he allegedly got richer during the jubilee campaign in 2013. he’s always seeking validation from the public
However, it turned out that he actually didn’t own the car he faked it.
