Information, Communications and The The Digital Economy Director of Administration Mr Wesley Maritim, today represented PS ICT and DE Eng John Tanui as the Chief Guest during the KONZA investors and partners breakfast meeting.
The Konza Technopolis 2023 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, which described Konza Technopolis Development Authority (Kotda)’s efforts for sustainability through the adoption of ESG practises, was given to key investors, partners, and vision holders of the Konza Technopolis.
By releasing the ESG report, KoTDA will be able to follow best practises from around the world in terms of tracking, analysing, and reporting ESG impacts, trends, and advancements.
Mr. Maritim, who delivered the PS’s remarks, emphasised that the Government’s support for KONZA can be seen in the KoTDA Bill’s expedited passage, the resource commitment, and the support of the highest levels of government.
“We are at advanced stages to operationalize the Kenya Open University at Konza, which will be a tremendous milestone for Kenya’s education agenda. The Digital Media City project will also start soon and is expected to enhance the creative sector,” the PS said.
The forum also provided an opportunity for KoTDA to make presentations to partners and investors on strategies, physical planning, design and compliance.
