Information Communications and The Digital Economy PS Eng. John Tanui has this morning expressed the need to enhance connectivity within Ministries and State Departments in government as part of digitalization efforts.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on his Devolution counterpart PS Teresia Mbaika at her office in Nairobi, Eng. Tanui noted that the digitalization agenda ought to be executed on both levels of government in order to have efficient service delivery to the citizens.
He noted that the Ministry of Information Communications and The Digital Economy has established Wi-Fi zones within county market areas in the Village Digital Hubs project and the Jitume Labs initiative in collaboration with the around the counties.
The PS noted the many ICT management requests from county governments to aid in operations and pledged to domicile within the State Department for Devolution a team of ICT experts, to periodically aid the counties through closer partnerships.
