Ida Odinga, the wife of Azimio leader Raila Odinga, has urged Kenyans to put aside the emotions of the presidential election and instead engage time and energy in programs that will improve their livelihoods.Â
Kenyans, according to Mama Ida, must now focus on development activities.
“This year was engulfed with mixed blessings. Some have brought happiness and others pains but let us focus on positive side of life”
According to Ida, the region is promising and will not confront starvation, as is probable in other parts of the country.
She also asked Governor James Orengo to invest in food production programs to ensure Siaya inhabitants have food security, noting that devolution was designed to promote development in different regions.
“Let us make use of the available resources to create wealth, like in this area we have rains that has not failed our people and have just passed farms that has high yield maize crops ready for harvests,” she added.
Ida also urged Siaya leaders to give Governor James Orengo time and space to deliver on his commitments.
