Philomena Mwilu, Deputy Chief Justice, has asked the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to resolve its legal representation issues internally.
Mwilu stated during the pre-trial conference on Tuesday, August 30 at the Milimani Law Courts that it was not the Supreme Court’s responsibility to decide who represented the electoral agency.
The Supreme Court, according to the Vice President, will not be drawn into the IEBC disputes.
“We believe that this court cannot hear any dispute regarding the IEBC’s legal representation. It is not the court’s concern to determine who represents the IEBC in whatever form “Mwilu stated this.
“That is an international issue that the IEBC, its commissioners, and other internal organs must resolve in this case, this court will not be drawn into this dispute,” she added.
