If You Hate Kenya Leave! Elachi Tells Off Ruto Critics

Leaders within President William Ruto camp have launched a concerted campaign against his critics, especially targeting those voicing dissent on social media.

The recent defense rally took place during a church service in Dagoretti North, where lawmakers took to the pulpit to condemn attacks against the Head of State.

Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi led the charge against perceived disrespect towards Ruto, criticizing individuals who insult the President even from religious platforms.

“We must respect the president; he is our father,” Elachi asserted, highlighting the need for unity. “When you go abroad, they wonder which country we come from.”

Elachi’s remarks reflect a broader sentiment among Ruto’s supporters, who are increasingly frustrated with the backlash stemming from his administration’s policies and decisions. She implored dissatisfied citizens to consider leaving the country if they found it so unbearable.

“If Kenya is bad, why not leave? What are you doing here?” she challenged, asserting that citizens should acknowledge their duty to respect the nation’s leadership.

Her comments also implied that criticism from Kenyans has tarnished the country’s image abroad, likening it to complaints made by some in Dar es Salaam who observe that Kenyans are often disparaging towards their leaders.

“Where will you go? Let us respect the President,” she urged, placing blame for the nation’s ills on those who refuse to rally behind Ruto.

The calls for respect come in the wake of increasingly vocal discontent on social media platforms, where users have been expressing disappointment with the current administration and its handling of various issues.
