Alice Wahome, the Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation CS nominee, has said that she is worth Sh218 million.
She revealed her net worth to the National Assembly Appointment Committee on Monday, when she was being vetted.
“The gross is about Sh392 million or thereabout,” she added.
According to the Kandara MP, her assets include properties she co-owns with her husband as well as family assets.
Her current sources of income, she told the committee, include her salary as an MP, which she received until September, and a fuel allowance of Sh100,000 from her law firm.
“And from these properties, some of them are in my name, I get about Sh500,000 a month,” she added.
Wahome revealed that she has been practicing law in her free time at the Wahome and Akedi Advocates firm, which she claims is not much.
She and her daughter are partners in the firm.
“If I’m approved by this committee, I will resign,” she said.
