Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen presided over the opening of an induction, paralegal, and security management course for Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs at the National Police College, Embakasi A Campus. This initiative aims to enhance the administrative and security roles of these officers in line with the government’s ongoing reforms in national administration.

During the event, CS Murkomen unveiled Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) designed to guide the relationship between National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs) and the National Government Administration Police Unit (NGAPU).

Additionally, he flagged off thousands of uniform pairs for distribution to Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs across various counties, bolstering their operational capacity and visibility.

The ceremony was attended by key officials, including Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration Dr. Raymond Omollo, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, Deputy Inspector General of Administration Police Service Gilbert Masengeli, and Principal Administrative Secretaries Beverly Opwora and Jacob Narengo.

CS Murkomen emphasized that the training and SOPs are part of a broader strategy to professionalize the National Government Administration, ensuring improved service delivery and enhanced security management at the grassroots level.
