IPOA Strengthens Oversight Awareness and Collaboration in Narok County

Further discussions explored the critical role of the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO) in supporting effective policing and coordination at the grassroots level.

The Authority on Thursday conducted an outreach program in Narok County aimed at enhancing awareness of its mandate and strengthening collaboration with security and administrative leadership.

During the visit, IPOA paid courtesy calls to the County Commander, Mr. Alex Lobolia, and the County Commissioner, Mr. Ruben Lotiatia, where discussions focused on IPOA’s oversight role and the importance of institutional cooperation in promoting accountability in policing.

The IPOA team, led by the Vice Chairperson Ann Wanjiku and Commissioner Bonface Samati accompanied by RC Sarah Mweah, also engaged commanders from various sub-county offices in a sensitisation forum. The session highlighted IPOA’s mandate, emphasised its role in safeguarding both public interest and police welfare, and underscored the importance of compliance with oversight mechanisms.
