DUBAI, United Arab Emirates
Iranian authorities unveiled a graphic new mural on a Tehran billboard Sunday warning the United States against a military strike, a stark visual threat coinciding with the deployment of a U.S. aircraft carrier group to the region.
The image, displayed prominently in central Enghelab Square, depicts a bird’s-eye view of a heavily damaged American aircraft carrier.

Its deck is shown strewn with bodies and exploding fighter jets, with blood trailing into the water to form a pattern evoking the stripes of the U.S. flag.
The mural is emblazoned with a slogan: “If you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind.”
The unveiling comes as the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group steams toward the Middle East. U.S. President Donald Trump has said the ships are being moved “just in case” he decides to take action against Iran, signaling a significant escalation in tensions between the two nations.
