President William Ruto’s political juggernaut is set to swallow The National Agenda Party (NAP) as the 2027 election fever grows.
The party, owned by Mr. Alfayo Alfonce Agufana. The move is part of the strategy to by Ruto to enhance his foothold in Western Kenya through his United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Agufana, a former director at Safaricom Plc, ran for Vihiga Senate in 2022 and lost.
He is a close associate of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. They hail from the same constituency.
Mudavadi is rumoured to have assembled two political parties as safety nets for his 2027 political survival. This is after he let go of his Amani National Congress bus in a colorful UDA Merger.
Investigations have established that several political parties are being registered in time for the 2027 watershed period.
