Raila Odinga, the Azimio presidential candidate, has named Prof Isaiah wa Kindiki as a key strategist in his August poll campaign.
He made the announcement shortly after naming Saitabao Ole Kanchory as his Chief Agent.
“As a national chief agent, I have nominated lawyer Saitabao Sanchory, who will be assisted by Dr Carolyne Karugu, Prof Isaiah wa Kindiki, Dr Oduor Ongwen, and my legal advisor Paul Mwangi,” he stated.
Both lecturers, Kithure and Isaiah, are brothers who support opposing political parties.
In the August polls, Professor Kithure was named as DP William Ruto’s chief agent.
Prof Kindiki will be aided by Veronica Maina, Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance, and Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok.
Prof Kithure is a political ally of Ruto’s who was rumored to be his running mate, whereas his elder brother, Prof Isaiah Kindiki, is a staunch supporter of Raila.
Raila’s agents will assist the electoral commission in the run-up to the August elections.
The former prime minister and his running mate, Martha Karua, have been given the green light to participate in this year’s presidential elections, which will take place on August 9.
At exactly 11 a.m. on Sunday, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, who is also the returning officer for Presidential elections, proclaimed the Azimio leader a candidate.
