Salesio Kiambi, the MCA-elect for Wabera ward in Isiolo County, has sought for legal action against those responsible for a bogus Twitter post claiming he died after getting unwell.
Following the death scare, Mr Kiambi reported the incident to the Isiolo Police Station under OB No 37/24/08/22. He urged security services to speed investigations and bring the perpetrators to justice.
“I was shocked when some residents came to my home to confirm if indeed I had died. Others called me thereafter and were shocked when I received their calls,” Mr Kiambi said.
The tweet by Isiolopolitiks on Tuesday evening, which has since been removed from Twitter, stated that the leader died after getting unwell while sleeping at his house on Monday.
Mr Kiambi requested state security, claiming that propaganda indicated that his foes did not want him well.
