BY FAITH MUTETE – Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura was in hot soup on Thursday over a photo he uploaded in his social media.

The photo had a group of children one of them being an albino child standing infront of the other children addressing them

The senator then went ahead to state, ”I started addressing a political gathering at the age of 4 years. A great #TBT in 1986 at Githunguri, Kiambu County,” stipulating that the albino child was him and thanking God for the far he had come.

The online society did not take this well as they called him a liar since the same photo was taken by Deutsche Welle, an international media station, to highlight the plight of albinos in Zambia.

The senator has then been forced to apologize on social media, stating that it was his social media team who posted the photo and went on defending them saying they might have been inspired by the fact that he was a prefect in 1987.

“Many times those who work with us do a terrific job to pass our message out there and people are able to appreciate what we do to make a change. We get the credit for it. Yet at times they don’t get it right. I was surprised to wake up in New York, 7 hours behind to get inboxes about a photo that I took while young in 1986,” said Mr. Mwaura.
