Italian Star Turns Down Arsenal Offer

Dusan Vlahovic, like Manuel Locatelli and Joaquin Correa in the summer, is expected to turn down a January move to Arsenal.

Vlahovic’s contract with Fiorentina, which expires in June 2023, will not be extended.

In January, Fiorentina director Joe Barone refused to rule out the striker’s sale, with Juventus, Inter, Arsenal, and Tottenham among the clubs connected with his services.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Gunners and Fiorentina have struck an agreement in principle on a €80 million January transfer, but the player and his agent want to wait for better bids and are expected to reject a move to North London.

Vlahovic would be the third Serie A player to turn down the opportunity to play at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal made bids to both Manuel Locatelli and Joaquin Correa during the summer transfer window, but both players declined.

Locatelli eventually joined Juventus on a loan deal from Sassuolo with an option to buy for €37.5 million, plus bonuses. Arsenal has made a permanent bid of €40 million for the player.
