Hon Kalonzo Musyoka, the principal of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA), has asked the clergy to pray for the country leadership.
As the political heat builds by the day, the Wiper Leader emphasized that the church must be at the center of the national conversation in order to guide the country toward a united and peaceful election.
He explained that the supreme law of the land declares that the country is under God’s supreme protection in the preamble.
Appearing to chide the three Lower eastern Governors; Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos), who shelved their ambitions to support Raila, Kalonzo said,
“I went into politics because I felt it is calling to serve humanity in that stage, if it were for self-seeking, then I would not have even tried… Those that exude negative energy and brand others for self-seeking times, must be called out on who they are and entirely ignored.”
The Wiper boss, who spoke at the Eagle Christian Church International in Karen, said that political tensions are escalating by the day, and that the church must play its proper role in society by praying and directing the moral fabric.
