The leader of the Roots party, George Wajackoyah, claims that the Tanzanian government has issued a red alert prohibiting him from entering the neighboring country.
Wajackoyah claims he was mistreated by Tanzanian authorities while in Tanzania as a guest of the Chadema party two days ago.
According to the Roots Party leader, he was detained for a long time in Arusha before being informed that there was a red alert preventing him from entering Tanzania.
Wajackoyah says he was shocked by Tanzania’s treatment and is demanding an explanation from both the Kenyan and Tanzanian governments.
Wajackoyah claims he has given the Kenyan government seven days to respond to the matter and pressure Tanzania to lift the travel ban imposed on him.
