J Rello, a Black American YouTuber known for his controversial travel content, is facing widespread condemnation following an alleged assault on a Kenyan woman during a live-streamed encounter in Nairobi.

The incident, which reportedly occurred in a short stay apartment, has led to the termination of his three YouTube channels and his eviction from the property.

In a video that has since gone viral, a woman, reportedly naked, is heard crying for her phone while another unidentified woman attempts to calm the situation.

J Rello claimed he had agreed to pay 6,000 Kenyan Shillings to film their encounter, but the woman allegedly demanded more after realizing he was profiting from the content.

Following the incident, J Rello expressed frustration over the actions taken against him, including the disconnection of his Wi-Fi and power services, and threats of police involvement if he did not vacate the premises. He also condemned Kenyans for cyberbullying him, accusing them of hating the country.

The controversy escalated after J Rello made disparaging remarks about Kenyan women, calling them “unattractive.”

The backlash was swift, with many Kenyans expressing their anger online. As a result, he was forced to change his Airbnb location due to reported threats.

Despite announcing his intention to leave Kenya, J Rello remained in the country. His attempts to engage with women through escort services reportedly ended in disputes, leading to financial losses.

His activities, funded through crowdfunding, have drawn criticism, with some supporters withdrawing their backing due to the negative publicity.

The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the treatment of women, with many condemning J Rello’s actions and urging for accountability.
