Residents and motorists along the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway woke up to a rude shock after two buses registered to Modern Coast bus company collided at Sultan Hamud.
Seven people have been confirmed dead, while 60 others nursing injuries in the early morning accident.
However, according to a report it is alleged that the bus company had suffered a previous ordeal at the same date and surprisingly, the same company.
National Transport Safety Authority (NTSA) has since moved to suspend the License of Modern Coast Bus company, citing their frequent accidents and near-fatal crashes that have been under investigation.
They urged motorists to be careful during the festivities as most buses are in a hurry to make money this season.
