A man in Thailand has confessed to the brutal murder of a police officer whom he suspected had an affair with his wife.
Amornrak Jitkoh, 45, is said to have attacked Jumrus Doljue, 57, outside his house in Kalasin, North east of the country on Saturday.
Jitkoh set Mr. Doljue’s car on fire before pouncing on him, hacked his penis and later stabbed him to death 23 times on the neck and body.
He told the police that he suspected the affair in 2018 and warned his wife, Nai, to halt the relationship but she didn’t.
The situation worsened in September last year when the couple had a fight and Nai relocated to her maternal home and asked for a divorce.
Mr. Amornrak, was traced down to a restaurant by the law enforcers on Tuesday and was arrested as he calmly ate a bowl of noodles.
Having confessed his atrocious act, he will remain in remand until a date for his case will be set. He will be re-interrogated and taken to the crime scene for a re-enactment before the legal case continues.
