The father to the late Jeff Mwathi wept in court while narrating the events after he got the sad news of the untimely demise of his son.
According to the father, the family of late Jeff was never satisfied with the police investigations report particularly the Postmortem report given the fact that it was conducted after the body was already decomposed.
During cross-examination by the family lawyer, Advocate Danstan Omari, the father said that he expected a bright future for his son because at the time of his death he had already applied for passport to travel abroad and further his studies.
He told the court that he expected his son would help him in old age but all that has now been extinguished by evil minded people an act that has given him psychological trauma till today.
He urged the court if at all it finds anybody culpable of his son’s death, to take stringent legal action against him.
“Walitupokonya kijana ambaye alikua shujaa kwetu na amabaye tungemtemea na amabaye alikua very happy” said the father amid tears.
He informed the Court that when he got the news of his son’s death he could not even move and that is why he could not travel to Nairobi to view his son’s body at City Mortuary.
The late Jeff passed on 22nd February 2023 at Redwood apartment were rumours indicated that he had jumped from the 10th floor flat.
