Eliud Owalo, the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, officially opened the Jitume Kazi Lab initiative at the Thika Technical Training Institute in Thika Town, Kiambu County.
The CS visited the Jitume Kazi Lab at the organization, which has a capacity for 100 users at a time, with the assistance of local leaders and senior personnel from his ministry and that of education.
He encouraged the learners to envision their transition from students to earners using the digital devices outfitted with the Jitume virtual desktop infrastructure during his motivational speech on digital skills and chances.
The Jitume Kazi Lab initiative provides ICT Centers to solve connection, device access, and digital skills challenges in order to develop career possibilities targeted at the country’s youth.
The Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy was named the best-performing ministry in Kenya Kwanza’s first 100 days in office.
According to a new Infotrak survey, the Eliud Owalo-headed ministry led in overall performance by 54%.
It was closely followed by the Ministry of Highways and Transport, which received 50% of the vote.
