Joe Jonas, 34, and his model girlfriend Stormi Bree, 33, have officially called off their romance after five months of dating.
The famous Jonas Brothers’ singer and Stormi broke up after a whirlwind romance following his messy divorce in the public eye from actress Sophie Turner, whom he shares his two daughters Willa and Delphine. The pair’s split was allegedly partly due to the boy band star wanting to refocus his energy into his upcoming album.
Speaking on the breakup, a source told US Weekly: “Joe has a very busy schedule between his kids and his career, so his romantic life has to take a back seat for now.” They went on to add that Joe is prioritizing “his children and his passion for his music” for now.
The insider went on to add: “If the right person comes along, he’ll definitely make time for them in his life,” but that he is living “a very fulfilled life” single.
They went on to clarify that this doesn’t only extent to Stormi. They explained: “[He] doesn’t feel the need to jump into a relationship with anybody. If it happens, it happens. But he’s really happy with where things are at right now.”
Back in January, a source spoke about their budding romance explaining that their romance was still “very new” but that they were “happy” and “open to seeing where things go.”
After two more months went by, the same insider updated the news outlet revealing that although they were “getting more serious” they hadn’t “used the love word yet.”
Joe and Bree first sparked romance rumours in January of this year after they were snapped boarding a private jet in Cabo San Lucas together and later seen enjoying a romantic dinner date together.
Later that same month the pair continued to fuel speculation they were dating as they went on another trip jetting from Cabo to Aspen. And while they’ve kept their relationship strictly private, the lovebirds were seen locking lips during the Australian leg of the Jonas Brothers tour back in February.
The pair began their romance after Joe navigated a bitter divorce from his ex-wife Sophie including accusations that Joe wouldn’t allow Sophie to take her kids back home to England and instead wanted to keep them on tour with him. The former couple announced the news of their split on Instagram with the joint statement:
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly, this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
