The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal has suspended a decision by the Jubilee Party to expel 6 nominated senators until cases challenging the same are heard. – By Gerald Gekara.
The six, Isaac Mwaura, Seneta Mary Yiane, Waqo Naomi Jilo, Omanga Millicent, Prengei Victor, Iman Dekow and Gona Christine Zawadi were controversially expelled from the party after a decision by Jubilee Disciplinary Comittee.
“The expulsions are with immediate effect and have been communicated to the Senate and the registrar of political parties. The affected senators are at liberty to appeal.” Tuju said.
Milicent Omanga, who was among the first to respond, claimed she was not furnished with the documents expelling her from her nominated seat.
“I’ve not received official communication from Jubilee party on my purported expulsion, and 5 other colleagues, from the party. Just seen it on the media. Assume it’s true, it’s a stark reminder of the desperation of those who’ve held the party hostage. We’re going nowhere!” She Tweeted.
