The Judiciary has issued a detailed status update regarding the ongoing restoration of its digital systems, following disruptions that began on 10th July 2025. In a statement released at 11:00 AM on Monday, the Judiciary confirmed that while the Cause List Portal is now fully accessible via https://causelist.court.go.ke, the eFiling system continues to experience intermittent outages.

The disruptions, attributed to external interference that temporarily impacted network services, affected key public-facing platforms, including the eFiling and cause list systems. Technical teams responded swiftly, initiating a phased service restoration process. Partial recovery was achieved by Sunday, 13th July, though new technical challenges were reported on Monday.

Despite these setbacks, judicial services have remained functional through alternative filing methods. The Judiciary reports that 282 applications under certificates of urgency and time-bound pleadings have been processed via official email channels. Additionally, 2,256 criminal cases have been filed and processed during the same period.

Court users requiring urgent services are advised to submit their filings to the respective court stations and copy the following addresses:

The Judiciary assured the public that it is working diligently to restore full system functionality and will issue further updates as progress is made.

Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Hon. Winfridah B. Mokaya, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted access to justice and thanked court users for their continued patience and cooperation.
