Roots party ex-running mate Justina Wamae has asked for a job opportunity from president-elect William Ruto after his win was upheld.
While congratulating Ruto and his deputy-elect Rigathi Gachagua on the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold his victory as declared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on August 15, she asked for a job and stated that she is ready to serve.
“Justina Wamae is humbled, thank you Mr President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua. The Bible says, speak the truth, my truth is naomba kazi. Am ready to serve Singoei Korir Kenya Iko Imara,”she said.
It’s the second time that Wajackoyah’s estranged former running mate is publicly begging the President-elect to give her a job in his government.
Days after IEBC declared Ruto as the President-elect, Wamae expressed her interest in serving as a minister in the Kenya Kwanza’a administration ahead of the Supreme Court’s verdict.
“Congratulations Ruto and Rigathi on your victory. As the representative of the Kenyan youth, I will support in any way I can to achieve a financially secure Kenya that is dignified across the globe,” she said then.
This led to a fallout between her and the party leader George Wajackoyah.
Roots Party then stripped her of powers to run its affairs and appointed Yagnik Vinod Ramji as the party’s deputy in an acting capacity.
