In a colourful ceremony held by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Ngome vowed to support ODM, urging KADU Asili leadership to support the candidate, Dickson Karani.
In his speech, Ngome has urged his supporters to front for development, and shun divisive politics.
The leaders cited the need for unity among Coast voters, and urged voters to come together and support the party that currently leads Kilifi county.
The seat was left vaccant late last year, after the High Court in Malindi nullified the election of Emmanuel Changawa after a petition by then ANC candidate Dickson Karani.
