President Paul Kagame of Rwanda on Wednesday flew to Kenya’s capital, Nairobi to attend the 59th Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank.
This gathering (from 27–31 May) comprises of the 59th Annual Assembly of the African Development Bank and the 50th meeting of the African Development Fund.
Discussions are being guided by the theme; “Africa’s Transformation, African Development Bank Group, and Reform of the Global Financial Architecture.”
The meetings provide a unique opportunity for knowledge dissemination among high-level decision makers in Africa, key officials of bilateral and multilateral Development Agencies, leading academics and representatives of non-governmental organizations, civil society, and the private sector.
Kagame is lined up for the Presidential Dialogue under the theme: “Africa’s Transformation, African Development Bank Group, and Reform of the Global Financial Architecture”.
The meetings also include the High-Level Plenary Knowledge Event 1: Launch of the African Economic Outlook 2024 themed: “Driving Africa’s Transformation: The Reform of the Global Financial Architecture”.
There is also a Thematic Knowledge Event 1 themed: “Financing Africa’s Transformation in a Changing Global Financial System”.
Thematic Knowledge Event 2 will be guided by the theme: “Measuring the Green wealth of Nations: Natural Capital and Economic Productivity in Africa”.
