Wiper leader has denied the existence of a secret pact with Kenya Kwanza leader Dr. William Ruto.
His sentiments came after the Deputy President, flanked by his allies, begged for fair treatment of the Wiper leader.
While touring Machakos county, Kalonzo stated that defeating Ruto was still his priority, downplaying any hidden cards as potrayed by a section of Azimio leaders.
“I am a principled man. I want to beat Dr Ruto and the UDA so that Kenyans will march forward. People know that a Kalonzo and Raila ticket will send them home, and that is what they are trying to stop. But they are set to fail” he said.
Kalonzo Musyoka also took a swipe at the Azimio interviews in a cheeky tweet reading.
“This is the People’s Interview.”
Despite his reluctance to appear before the DP selection panel, the Wiper leader was supported by Gideon Moi, who submitted his name as a nominee for the position.
Kalonzo will be put against Jubilee’s Sabina Chege, Peter Kenneth and KANU’s Gideon Moi.
Once the panel approves a nominee, s/he will be unveiled at the Azimio Council meeting, chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
