Kamala Harris: Iam Ready to Debate Donald Trump

Vice President Kamala Harris has announced her readiness to debate former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, despite Trump’s recent attempts to backpedal on their previously agreed-upon debate date.

“I’m ready to debate Donald Trump,” Harris said during a press conference at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. “I have agreed to the previously agreed upon September 10th debate. He agreed to that previously. Now, it appears he is backpedaling, but I’m ready.”

The debate was initially set to take place on September 10th, with Trump agreeing to the date during a conference call. However, he has since expressed a desire to switch the debate to Fox News, citing concerns about ABC News’ handling of the debate.

Harris, who has emerged as the leading candidate for the Democratic nomination after President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek re-election, has been preparing for the debate and is confident in her ability to take on Trump.

“I think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage, and so I’m ready,” Harris said. “Let’s go.”

Trump, who is seeking the Republican nomination, has also expressed his willingness to debate Harris, saying he would be willing to do more than one debate.

Harris’s announcement comes as she continues to gain momentum in her campaign, with her campaign reporting record levels of fundraising and securing the required number of delegates to become the Democratic nominee.

The contrast between Harris’s age and Trump’s age is also expected to be a key focus of the debate. Harris is 59 years old, while Trump is 79.

With Biden’s decision to step aside, Harris has quickly become the front-runner for the Democratic nomination and is expected to formally accept the role at the Democratic National Convention in August.

The 2024 presidential election is shaping up to be a highly contested race, with Harris and Trump set to face off in what promises to be a highly anticipated debate.
