Speaking at Hill Park Hotel in Upper Hill Nairobi, Kamba community leaders led by former Kitui Senator, Hon. David Musila have criticized Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for misleading the community for over 40 years.
” We the leaders from Machakos, Makueni and Kitui we have called this conference as leaders of Ukambani to give our position regarding the proposed Monday mass action. We as the community support Ruto’s administration and were not ready to go to opposition for other five or more years. Kalonzo has has been in power for over 40 years but the Kamba Community has nothing to boast about his King Pin leadership. Our call to the community is that they keep off this demonstration because they do no good to the community.” Said David Musila.
The leaders leiterated that they support the current administration and pleaded with the government to give Kmaba region a fair share of development.
” It is unfortunate that our country is facing a big challenge.Kamba community is suffering from Kingpin meiosis, if we can cure this then Kamba region will be on the safe place. I would be very happy if the opposition would be telling us what we need to do to bring the cost of living in Kenya down. We know what the opposition want,they want to overthrow this government in the name of the lowering the cost of living.” said Joe Mutambu Former MP Mwingi Central.
Mutambu proceeded to criticize Kalonzo for mobilizing Kamba community to match to sate house saying that he would have encouraged them to prepare their farms for the planting season.
The leaders seemed angared by the fact that only sons and daughters of common citizens are being brainwashed to take part in the demonstrations while Raila, Kalonzo and Karua’s children are completely cushioned from the unlawful mass action.
” I would agree with Opposition if they would tell us that one of those who will proceed to stae House would be Kennedy Kalonzo, the daughter to Raila and Karua’s Son,but if they are only organising demonstration of people from Kibra, then this won’t be a peaceful demonstration” said Joe Mutambu.
Kisoi Munyao on the other hand shifted the blame of the high cost of living to Uhuru and Raila Odinga stating that the rain started beating Kenya immediately after the hand shake.
He said that Kamba Community leaders are planning to engage the ministry of security interior coordination to give them security on Monday to also match towards Raila’s residency.
“Serious economic crimes we are witnessing now were orchestrated by Uhuru/Raila handshake. We will also organize to approach the ministry if Interior to give us security to also match towards Raila’s home because there is nobody in Kenya who has monopoly of demonstration” said Kisoi Munyao.
