Governor Kananu Reshuffles Nairobi Cabinet

The Governor told the new appointees to work harder than their predecessors.

Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu Tuesday made changes in the county executive. The governor said the changes are meant to improve service delivery.

“This is a normal reorganization so as to ensure we revamp things and ensure even better service delivery,” Kananu said.

Joseph Gathiaka, who was the acting Head of County Treasury, takes over the Finance Chief Officer.

He replaces Mohamed Sahel, who has been moved to the Health docket in the same capacity.

Brian Kisali is now the acting Chief Officer in the Disaster Management docket as Elizabeth Njau takes over as the acting Chief Officer Trade, Commerce and Industrialization.

The Governor told the new appointees to work harder than their predecessors.

“Nairobi must feel your presence in a positive manner,” said Kananu.

“We must all understand that our aim is the see each person happy and enjoying good services that are offered by the county.”
