The family of the late Caroline Jemutai Kangogo were among friends and family who attended the requiem mass of the late Constable John Ogweno held at the Kasarani police station, Nakuru county.
The family was present to clear the belongings of the late corporal who is alleged to have murdered the late Ongweno, and businessman Peter Njiru Ndwiga in a bizarre killing spree.
Caroline, who was on the run for the murder, allegedly committed suicide at her family home in Elgeyo Marakwet.
The family called for the police service to sensitize and identify mental cases among officers to avert more cases like these.
The body of the late is expected to be buried on Friday 23rd in Homabay County
