Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi criticized Miguna Miguna for allegedly inciting young Kenyans to revolt against the government.
Sudi claimed that Miguna and other leaders had co-opted a noble accountability drive initiated by Generation Z (Gen Z).
Sudi revealed that he had advised President William Ruto to allow Miguna’s return to Kenya after his deportation by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I was surprised that an aged person like you could incite Gen Z who are our children,” Sudi remarked, noting that the incitement primarily occurred on X Spaces, where Miguna is active.
“When Gen Z started their protests, I supported them because they had genuine issues. I knew they had now come of age and understood governance issues,” Sudi explained.
He accused Miguna of being an impostor who used the Gen Z movement to push for anarchy, suggesting that Miguna and others aimed to plunge Kenya into lawlessness and civil war.
Sudi expressed regret over Miguna’s return to Kenya in 2022, stating that after hosting Miguna for a three-hour conversation, he understood why the former administration had deported him.
However, Sudi clarified that while he understood the disagreement, he did not support the deportation.
“Let us air our issues in a manner that we are not going to destroy the country,” Sudi urged Kenyans, criticizing Miguna for cheering on the occupation of Parliament and other constitutional offices.
