Kariri Njamba, the Jubilee candidate in the Kiambaa Parliamentary By-elections, has disclosed what he was told while campaigning on Sunday.
Appearing in a TV interview, Njamba was displeased when residents screamed the names of DP William Ruto and the UDA Party. He said the residents wanted him to leave Jubilee or lose the elections.
“They asked me to stop campaigning, because Kiambaa was out my hands. They urged me to either ditch Jubilee for UDA or things will not work well for me. It is actually open to realise that my opponent are planning something fishy ahead of the By-elections.” he added.
The Kiambaa Parliamentary By-elections are set to kickoff from 15th July to 18th 2021. The competition is between John Njuguna Wanjiku of UDA and Kariri Njamba of Jubilee Party.
The by-election will be another litmus test of President’s backyard as rogue politicians continue spreading the Hustler narrative in the vote rich region.
