Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced on Monday, December 12, that the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results will be released next week.
The CS, who was speaking in Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii county during the burial ceremony of Mama Yunuke Kebira, mother of his friend Justice Ocharo on Sunday, said his ministry had taken the necessary precautions to prevent cheating during this year’s national exams.
“Next week we are announcing KCPE examination results and you will not hear any cases of cheating under the leadership of Machogu. The grading of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is progressing well and I can assure you, the results will not be riddled with any irregularities,” Machogu said.
Further, he assured parents and teachers that the results for some 1.23 million learners who wrote the KCPE exam will come out without any questionable issues.
“No one should peddle misinformation that in such and such place, there are problems. And there will be no problems at all. We will serve our people efficiently and effectively,” he added.
A total of 1,287,597 candidates were registered for the KPSEA and 1,244,188 candidates for KCPE across 493 examination storage and distribution centres.
During the 2021 KCPE exams, the results were released within 19 days after the completion of the tests.
