The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), in collaboration with Aero Club, will stage a free Museum Air Show Festival this Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Uhuru Gardens along Lang’ata Road in Nairobi.
According to a statement released by the KDF on Monday, the event will be led by Kenya Air Force and will feature displays of both military and civilian aerobatic capabilities aimed at engaging and entertaining the public.
“You are all invited to witness this spectacular show of scintillating aerobatics by Kenya Air Force jets and extreme maneuvers by a variety of helicopters in their inventory,” KDF said.
During the event, some of the prolific fighter jets for the disciplined forces will be showcased ahead of the Madaraka Day celebrations that will take place at the same venue on Wednesday, June 1.
The Kenya Wildlife Services will also display anti-poaching drills during the exercise.
“Other participants will include: Phoenix Aviation Cessna Sovereign, Kenya Airways Embraer 190 fly-past, Farmland Aviation firefighting display and aerobatics by Mark Hensman from South Africa among others,” KDF added.
Next week, President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to lead the country in Madaraka Day celebrations, with over 30,000 people expected to attend the event at Uhuru Gardens.
