The Kenya Defence Forces has released the shortlist of successful candidates for the 2025 recruitment cycle, marking the beginning of the final stage of the nationwide exercise.
In a statement dated October 24, KDF announced that shortlisted candidates for the General Service Officer Cadet (regular) positions are required to report to the Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru, on December 1 at 8am. Those in the GSO Cadet (graduate) category will report to the same venue on November 24, while Specialist Officers are expected to attend interviews on December 8.
Tradesmen and Women candidates will report earlier on November 3 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata, Nairobi. All sessions will begin at 8am.
According to the statement, candidates must present their original identification cards, academic and professional certificates, curriculum vitae and other relevant documents, together with four copies of each. KDF confirmed that food and accommodation will be provided during the interview period.
The Defence Forces said unsuccessful applicants will receive reimbursement for travel expenses in line with KDF regulations and advised all participants to carry warm clothing.
KDF reiterated that the recruitment process is free and open to all qualified Kenyans, warning against bribery and corruption. “Engaging in bribery or any form of corruption to influence the process is a criminal offence,” the statement read.
