Kehlani’s Ex Claims Singer Involved in Sex Cult, Seeks Full Custody of Their Daughter

Javaughn Young-White has initiated legal proceedings against his ex-girlfriend, singer Kehlani, claiming that she has kept their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya Parrish, away from him.

In court documents filed on July 24 and obtained by E! News, Young-White accuses Kehlani of allowing a cult to influence decisions regarding their daughter’s well-being. The couple dated from 2018 to 2019.

Young-White’s petition requests both legal and physical custody of Adeya, expressing concern that “everyone else has bigger say-so when it comes to the upbringing” of their daughter than he does.

He argues that Adeya is being raised in an unsafe environment, alleging that Kehlani has been significantly influenced by a cult for several years, which he claims controls her actions and parenting decisions.

In the court documents, Young-White alleges that the “cult leader” deemed him a danger to Adeya, leading to Kehlani reportedly banning him from seeing their daughter for extended periods.

He claims that during this time, she has left Adeya in the care of “random strangers” affiliated with the alleged cult, including individuals with dubious pasts.

Young-White provided disturbing details in his filing, asserting that the cult leader performs “religious ceremonies” on Adeya, often leaving him physically restrained and threatened when attempting to intervene.

“When I discovered this on her birthday in 2023, I was physically restrained and threatened by members of the ‘cult’ when I attempted to retrieve our daughter,” he stated.

As part of his legal petition, Young-White also seeks to establish paternity, as his name is not listed on Adeya’s birth certificate, which he claims was delivered through a home birth orchestrated by people connected to the cult.

He is requesting access to Adeya’s birth certificate, her social security number, and is asking for a legal name change to Adeya Parrish-Young-White.

Furthermore, Young-White is requesting that the court order Kehlani to undergo a psychological evaluation to determine her mental health status, particularly regarding potential bipolar disorder.

He emphasized that his intention is not to disparage Kehlani but to ensure that their daughter is raised in a healthy, supportive environment.

“I bring myself to the mercy and wisdom of the Court to save my daughter before it is too late,” he stated in his filing, expressing deep concern for Adeya’s safety and well-being.

While Kehlani is currently focused on her upcoming “Crash World Tour,” scheduled to kick off in Minneapolis this September, she has not yet publicly commented on the allegations made by Young-White. E! News says it has reached out to her representatives for a response but has not received any comment.
